This past January we stopped by Oga’s Cantina to check it out for the first time since Star Wars Galaxy Edge opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We enjoyed a couple of snacks and a few drinks. And we had a blast!!! We can’t say enough about the atmosphere at Oga’s! Read on to learn about the “pros and cons” and our overall experience. We hope our experience helps you to decide if Oga’s Cantina is a must do on your next Disney World trip.
Oga’s Cantina is a highly immersive watering hole located within Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is mostly standing room with limited seating. Guests are either given a space at the bar, space at bar style table or a booth with seating. Since Oga’s is very small, Disney does warn that large parties may be split up. You also may be grouped with another party as we were on our visit to Oga’s. Each party is limited to 45 minutes and to two alcoholic beverages per guest. This is due to the small size and is Disney’s way of allowing as many guests as they can to experience Oga’s.
We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation as requested and checked in at the umbrella desk outside. We then waited in line outside for about 15 minutes until they called our name. Once inside we were lucky enough to get a table by the DJ!
The atmosphere was amazing! Check out the video below as there are no words to describe the feeling inside Oga’s. The best one word description is FUN!!!!!
The Menu
Our first drinks were the Jet Juice and the Fuzzy Tauntaun.
The Jet Juice contains Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Cedilla Açaí Liqueur, White Grape Juice, and Lemon Juice. They serve this cocktail in a small glass similar to a shot glass. Compared to other cocktails at Oga’s, it is very small.
The Fuzzy Tauntaun is a unique but amazing drink. This drink contains Cîroc Peach Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, Simply® Orange with Tangerine, Pure Cane Sugar, and “Buzz Button Tingling” Foam. While being very favorable, it leaves your lips tingling after you take a sip. We are not kidding because as you sip this drink your lips will feel how they do as the Novocain wears off from the dentist. It is a very unique sensation but fun none the less. The overall flavor is nice!
We also tried the Yub Nub drink. The Yub Nub contains Malibu Pineapple Rum, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Citrus Juices, and Passion Fruit. Just a word of caution. Be sure to pronounce this drink correctly and save yourself some embarrassment. Working off memory after briefly looking at the menu, there was a mix up on the name of this drink when requesting it from our waitress. This caused our waitress to break character. We all enjoyed a good chuckle over this!! (We will leave the slip up to your imagination.)
The bartenders were the life of the party!
We both enjoyed our visit to Oga’s Cantina. So much so that we can’t wait to go back! We definitely think it’s worth visiting at least once just for the atmosphere alone! The drinks were great and the snacks were not bad either! The one con is that it was on the pricey side for drinks and snacks. We tried 3 drinks and the Batuu bits bringing our total to $72 including tip. However we expected this considering we were at Disney World. In our opinion, the price was also worth the hour of entertainment as well. Comment below if you have ever experienced Oga’s Cantina and please share your thoughts on your experience.
