1) The Garden Grill
Location: Epcot
Family Style American Cuisine
Why We Love:
The Garden Grill offers a unique experience as the restaurant rotates at a very slow pace. Located in “The Land” pavilion the Garden Grill gives you a unique perspective as it overlooks the ride “Living with the Land”. You will also be greeted by Mickey and his friends in their farming attire.
You can read more about this restaurant at our post entitled Garden Grill Restaurant: Why We Love Breakfast and Think You Will Too (adventureformore.com).
2) Via Napoli
Location: Epcot (Italy Pavilion)
Italian
Why We Love:
One word, Pizza. We love the pizza at Via Napoli! There are other Italian classics to choose from but the Pizza is hard to beat.
3) Tusker House Restaurant
Location: Animal Kingdom
African, American
Why We Love:
Can you say Jambo juice! This juice is one of our favorites in the restaurants around the Disney parks. We also really enjoy the character experience at Tusker House that occurs during the breakfast hour with Safari Donald and friends. This location used to be a buffet but currently it is modified to a family-style menu.
4) Olivia’s Cafe
Location: Old Key West Resort
American
Why We Love:
All I have to say about this restaurant is you have to try the southernmost buttermilk chicken! It is absolutely amazing! You can ask for the gravy to be left off which is how I prefer it or you can leave it on which is how my husband prefers it. Olivia’s is located at Old Key West Resort which is the first Disney Vacation Club resort. This restaurant is often overlooked but is definitely a hidden gem at Disney!
5) Kona Café
Location: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
American
Why We Love:
We love Kona Cafe’s breakfast. The Tonga toast is a personal fave and is absolutely amazing!! It’s also right on the monorail loop and has easy access to getting to Magic Kingdom. We like to plan an early morning breakfast at Kona and then head right over to Magic Kingdom for an early start.
6) Sanaa
Location: Animal Kingdom Lodge
African, Indian
Why We Love:
Sanaa is located at, in our opinion, one of the most unique resorts at Walt Disney World and provides one of the most unique dining experiences on property. I mean, its not everyday you have the opportunity to dine with giraffes or other animals as you overlook the savannah. And the food does not disappoint either. Our personal favorites include the butter chicken and the bread service.
You can read more about Sanaa at this post here, Why You Should Try Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (adventureformore.com).
7) Beaches and Cream Soda Shop
Location: Beach Club Resort
American
Lunch Menu
Why We Love:
Beaches and Cream is a family favorite. It’s like stepping back in time to a 1950’s soda shop where good old American comfort food and delicious ice cream is served. How can you not love that! It’s an easy walk along the path to the right from the Disney Skyliner station located behind the entrance to Epcot (International World Showcase entrance).
8) Be Our Guest
Location: Magic Kingdom
American, French
Why We Love:
Everyone needs to dine at Belle and Beast’s Castle at least once especially if you are a Beauty and the Beast fan! The Castle itself is amazing from the ballroom, to the West Wing, to the Castle Gallery. This restaurant is really an attraction all in itself. At dinner, guests are greeted by the Beast himself. Your meal consists of 3 courses (an appetizer, a main course and dessert).
9) Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
Location: Hollywood Studios
American
Why We Love:
The theming of this restaurant makes it a must do at least once. At this restaurant you pull up to a car-shaped booth or table and enjoy your meal in a 1950’s themed “sci-fi drive-in.” A unique dessert of this restaurant is the house-made Sci-Fi candy bar.
10) Cinderella’s Royal Table
Location: Magic Kingdom
American
Why We Love:
Who doesn’t love dining in a castle, especially Cinderella’s? This is of course is the quintessential royal dining experience at Walt Disney World and is a must do for all princesses. Normally breakfast is a character meal experience where all the Disney princesses can be met and a special photo opportunity with Cinderella is available on arrival to the castle. Unfortunately character dining is not available at this location at this time.
Well, there you have it. Our list of our ten favorite Walt Disney World sit down dining experiences. To be honest, there are so many great dining options at Disney World that it’s hard to make a list like this. We have several others we love that we had to leave off. Are there any that you love that didn’t make our list? Comment below. We would also love to hear what you think of the above restaurants.
*Note this list is not in order from most favorite to least favorite. They are all unique experiences in and of themselves.
